Prairie City takes pride in being a full-service city. In our small-town setting, residents enjoy easy access to many of the amenities and resources characteristic of larger communities. For services Prairie City doesn’t yet provide, larger communities are just a short drive away. Prairie City also neighbors the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge, home to a tallgrass prairie ecosystem and robust bison and elk herds.
