The City of Prairie City is currently seeking applications for the following positions:
Seasonal Mowing – two (2) seasonal part-time positions with the Public Works Department. Duties will include mowing and weed whipping of cemetery, parks, and all City facilities and other related tasks, as assigned. Up to 27 hours a week at pay of $14/hour. Applicants must be 18 years of age.
Summer Recreation – Oversees summer recreation program under direction of the Park Board, plans, coordinates, organizes and directs the operations and programming of the Summer Recreation, according to goals set by the Park Board and in response to community needs. This is a part-time seasonal position. Hours vary from week to week.
Parks and Recreation Director – Plans, coordinates, organizes, and directs the operations and programming of summer parks and recreation and oversees and manages Rec Complex according to goals set by the Park Board and city administration in response to community needs. This is a part-time seasonal position. Hours may vary from week to week.
