Prairie City Public Library

The Prairie City Public Library has approximately 12,000 items available for checkout, including books, e-books, downloadable audio books, books on CD, magazines, and newspapers. There are also three public computers available in addition to complimentary wireless Internet access. Other offerings include a free notary service (please call first) and copying and faxing for a fee.

The library organizes many events and classes for patrons. The library has provided computer classes for seniors and hosts book clubs for adults and teens. Younger children enjoy the summer reading program and organized movie days throughout the year.

Library Strategic Plan 2018-2024

The Library Staff in conjunction with Community Members have been working to develop a long-term Strategic Plan for the Prairie City Library.  Below is the link outlining the plan and its goals, objectives and strategies:
