Reminder of final day for curbside storm limb debris placement

REMINDER – Today is the final day for curbside placement of fallen storm tree debris that is less than 6″ diameter and 4 ft in length for pickup by public works staff. The team is currently picking up curbside debris on the south side of town and will then continue to work into other parts of town, as necessary. For safety, please avoid entering their work zones or driving around safety cones. Your patience is appreciated as the removal of such debris takes time.

Larger diameter debris in less than 4 ft lengths can still be taken to the water plant location for disposal. The City Administrator and Jasper County EMA are finalizing an action plan. More will be communicated once that is determined. If any resident would like any of the wood or mulch located at the water plant location, you are welcome to collect it safely.
